FAQs
Your children’s health is of utmost importance.
The colour powder is made of 98% corn starch, and 2% permitted colours. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, environmentally friendly and skin safe.
The manufacturer is an ISO 9001-2005 certified Crisil-rated company producing the highest quality product. The powder is not considered hazardous.
We will advise everyone at our colour stations to throw the powder at the torso; however, wind and other factors can cause the powder to land on the face.
Don’t be concerned if it does because the powder is non-toxic, and a simple rinse with water will take care of that. We will have water along the route to assist if this does occur.
To ensure the best protection, we will be providing UV400 sunglasses to all students
It’s a lot like breathing in dust and dirt, and extensive exposure is not recommended. Students with lung issues such as asthma are advised to be careful in their decision to participate.
Students can wear face masks if they would like the extra protection.
The colour powder is biodegradable and environmentally safe, and easy to clean.
Yes, it does because it is 98% corn starch. Although colour powder washes out very easily, we advise you not to wear your best clothes or the most expensive shoes. Leather and suede especially are known for easily absorbing colour powder.
If you want to keep the colour in your t-shirt, spray it with vinegar. However, the colour powder will wash out after several washes.
Yes! The easiest way to get it off is while it’s still dry (shake, wiggle or jump up and down). Soap and water, with a little rinse, will do the trick. If water is added to the event, there is a potential of staining hair. However, it will wash out over time.
We are providing additional route options for those students who would prefer not to get sprayed with colour. We will have bubbles for these students to run through. See the route map here
We have worked with the College to the best of our ability to ensure all students can participate as much as possible.
